Arsenal and top-flight rivals monitoring Preston ace Lewis Leigh
Arsenal are watching Preston North End youngster Lewis Leigh, according to Football.London, with the Gunners being backed by rivals West Ham, Everton and Leicester with an interest in the midfielder.
Leigh is a central midfielder who was on Preston’s first team in pre-season and scored on his debut.
The 17-year-old joined the Lilywhites at the U14 level after being sacked by Liverpool and now it seems like his appearances for Preston’s U18 have caught the attention of the top clubs.
Leigh was called up for a championship game last season, and Football.London reports the talent is expected to sign a new deal with the Deepdale team when he enters the final year of his scholarship.

The youngster will have to give serious thought when Arsenal and any of the other teams mentioned above try to sign him as it would be very difficult to turn down sides of this stature, but his path to first-team football will be much clearer if he stays at Preston should.
