Arsenal boss Arteta tells Auba that no-one is undroppable
Mikel Arteta said nobody is unstoppable at Arsenal – not even striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
Arsenal had their worst start to the Premier League season in 39 years and there is already an eleven point gap between the Gunners and leaders Tottenham. Some reports suggest that Mikel Arteta lost the dressing.
But one player has deviated more from the pace than others as Aubameyang has struggled consistently to find the bottom of the net this season and has nothing to do with the player who scored over 20 goals and made £ 350,000 last season has weekly contract.
Now Arteta has sent the striker a warning, revealing that he is not afraid to let him off the team. Arteta said, “At the end of the day, nobody is unstoppable.
“You have to find the right players to win football matches, but we cannot forget what Auba did for this club and what he did in the last few months – not years ago.
“And also because I see how he trains, how he behaves and how much he wants to change the situation. When I see this kind of hunger I remain a strong supporter of a player once they are established on the team and the performances they have performed.
“Auba was one of the main characters there and today he walked around the place with an energy that has nothing to do with any team or player who is suffering at the moment, and that for me is the way we need to go about it. ”
It would be a huge deal to leave Auba out of the squad but at the end of the day the striker is not playing as many expected him to be. Maybe leaving the team will ensure that he gets this wish back on his feet.
