Arsenal have ready new contract supply for favorite Tierney

Arsenal are in open talks with future captain Kieran Tierney about a contract extension, according to an exclusive report from Football.London.

Football.London reports that the club’s technical director, Edu, will now submit an offer to the Arsenal board to sign.

Tierney joined the Emirates in the summer of 2019 on a five-year contract (until 2024) for a fee of £ 25 million per gate. The left-back has shown serious quality but has been slowed down by regular injury problems.

It’s clear that the Celtic Academy graduate and Parkhead hero will be the Gunners # 1 when he’s fit, but Football.London adds that the club is also in the market for a replacement left-back this summer is.

That seems like a smart move by the North London team, they need a better option to call them as they are missing in the area when Tierney was sidelined.

Chris Wheatley, the reporter who broke the news, added on Twitter that “more news” is expected after Euro 2020, with Tierney rightly pushing that aside to focus on Scotland.

This is just the turning point for the Scottish international. Tierney is expected to join the team’s leadership group after some veteran stars leave or are about to leave Arsenal.

Tierney started his debut season with 20 of his 24 appearances in all competitions, injuries did not affect the ace quite as much this season as he made 32 appearances in the 2020/21 season.

The humble Scot is exactly the kind of leader Mikel Arteta should crown. Tierney has quickly become a fan favorite due to the apparent passion and intensity with which he plays.
