Arsenal on alert as Bundesliga star Sabitzer desires switch exit
RB Leipzig star Marcel Sabitzer allegedly wants to leave the Bundesliga team, connected with Arsenal.
The 24-year-old was linked with a move from the Bundesliga this summer, with numerous clubs from the Premier League.
The midfield enforcer has been one of the top performers in Europe in recent years and an impressive European Championship could attract even more interest and it is claimed that Gunners boss Mikel Arteta is eager to add him to the roster
And in the midst of speculation, Sabitzer wants to leave the Bundesliga club and, according to The Athletic, could be available for 17.5 million euros.
With all the speculation, however, he is focused on international affairs before starting Group C games against North Macedonia, Holland and Ukraine. When asked if he would like to play in England, Sabitzer said: “I can’t really say that I’m concentrating on the job I have here with the national team.
“Everything that has to do with the club and the future is of no importance to me at the moment if I want to be successful with this team at the European Championships.
“I won’t give any updates before the end of the Euros.”
Sabitzer is certainly a player who could have a real impact on this Arsenal squad if they decided to strike a deal. But he might feel that moving to the Emirates won’t give him the playing time he would want.
However, he would be a brilliant signing if Arsenal could make a move
