Arsenal try to promote striker Lacazette this summer season
Arsenal are struggling to find a suitor for French striker Alexandre Lacazette in the transfer market but are keen to sell the hit man
After a very disappointing season last year, Mikel Arteta is a man who knows he’ll have to deal with this transfer kitty over the next few weeks and add some high profile players to the roster.
The Spaniard lacks a top-class defender, has to add another creative midfielder to the squad and also has to bring another striker on the offensive who can score goals every week.
And Lacazette is one player the club is open to selling that transfer window in order to raise a little more cash to sign a new striker in that transfer window in the event of Lacazette’s possible departure
Transfer expert Duncan Castles said on Reach PLC’s “Transfer Window” podcast, “Another player they’d like to sell and get their wages off, but it’s very difficult to sell is Alexandre Lacazette.
Castle’s co-host Ian McGarry reiterated this claim, suggesting that the Gunners “were aggressively trying to sell the former Lyon frontman.
McGarry said: “I have been told that Lacazette has been marketed very aggressively across Europe but with no particular interest strong enough to suggest that Arsenal can outsource Lacazette.”
Lacazette is a solid striker who scores some goals but he’s not the striker who will bring the club back to the top and they have to get rid of his wages this summer
