Atletico Madrid monitoring in-form Eintracht Frankfurt striker
Atletico Madrid reportedly want to sign Eintracht Frankfurt striker Andre Silva as soon as the summer transfer window opens.
The 25-year-old Silva moved to Frankfurt in 2019, initially on loan from AC Milan, before finally setting his move worth GBP 2.7 million according to the Transfermarkt in the following season.
Although Silva turned out to be one of the top rated strikers in Europe as he climbed through FC Porto’s youth, he struggled during his time in Italy’s top division.
The talented Portuguese striker is now fully anchored in Bundesliga life and well on his way to regaining some of his best form.
After 58 games in all competitions for Frankfurt, Silva has already collected an impressive 44 direct goal contributions.

It was the 25-year-old’s rejuvenated form that spawned him as a transfer target for La Liga title contender Atletico Madrid.
According to a current report by the German publication BILD, Diego Simeone is an enthusiastic admirer of Silva and would like to sign him as soon as the summer transfer window opens in a few months.
The report says Silva was a preferred choice in January before the club decided to sign Lyons Moussa Dembele.
The fact that Atletico Madrid were unable to include an option to purchase in their loan offer for Silva led the club to eventually pull out and pursue Dembele.
According to these recent reports, Los Colchoneros seem determined to rekindle their interest in the months ahead.
