Barcelona to earn additional Rafinha funds as PSG make UCL semi finals
Almost every team in world football is struggling for finances right now, so additional income or revenue is always welcomed.
Barcelona allowed their midfielder Rafinha to join PSG for a minimal fee last summer as it became clear he wouldn’t play regularly but there were some clauses in that deal.
One of the additional payments would be triggered if PSG reached the Champions League semi-finals and it has been confirmed that Barca will deposit around € 1.5m as a result:

It is confirmed that the same amount will be paid again next year if the Parisians reach the same stage, while Barca will also receive 35% of the next fee net if it is sold.
Rafinha has been largely a sub for PSG in the competition this season as he has only played 123 minutes in all of his eight appearances. However, tonight he has a choice as they try to overcome their first leg loss to Man City.
The money will give Barca a boost considering how much debt they owe but you can be sure that if they beat PSG earlier in the competition they would love to give that up.
