Brown opens up on the Man United arrival of Rafa Varane

Wes Brown has endorsed the upcoming arrival of Real Madrid star Raphael Varane to Manchester United

Varane is one of Madrid’s most award-winning players of recent times, having helped the club win four Champions League trophies, three La Liga titles, three Spanish Super Cups and the Copa del Rey since arriving from Lens in 2011 win.

However, he hasn’t signed a new deal with the club in recent months and it has been suggested that joining United is his preferred choice, with many reports even suggesting that he has already agreed to move to Old Trafford

“I just think he has been superb in the many years he’s been with Real Madrid,” Brown said.

“I think he probably wasn’t that good last season, but because of his experience he’s a big name in world football, everyone knows what they can do.”

“If he came it would be a new challenge and I think it would be an excellent choice and then Ole can see what works.

“If you bring him in, you can see where Ole is going, a player with a high pedigree.

“We have Jadon Sancho too, so if it did it would be two brilliant signings at the start of the season and I think the crowd would love it too.”
