Chelsea make two Lukaku switch bids
Chelsea reportedly made two offers for Romelu Lukaku this summer as they appear to have abandoned a transfer deal for Erling Haaland.
It seems the Inter Milan striker is now the more realistic option than Haaland, with Borussia Dortmund reportedly determined not to sell.
This is according to The Athletic, while Fabrizio Romano has also written about Benchwarmers that Dortmund is ready to turn down even 150 million euros for its star striker.
Lukaku would be a good signing for Chelsea given his great form while at Inter, although he struggled with Manchester United in his last Premier League stint.

The Belgian international is now looking back on his best form and seems ideal to offer Chelsea an upgrade against the misfired Timo Werner.
The German international just doesn’t get going at Stamford Bridge, and a new goalscorer makes sense as an urgent priority for Thomas Tuchel.
Lukaku has proven he can do it in the Premier League, although The Athletic note that he is in no great rush to leave Inter even if Chelsea are the only English team he would be willing to leave Italy for.
The report adds that Chelsea have signaled that they are ready to break their transfer record to sign the 28-year-old this summer.

Haaland may be the more attractive option given his youth, but the 21-year-old Norwegian’s incredible form may mean that he’s now out of reach financially, even for a club with Chelsea’s resources.
Few fans would complain if Lukaku joined as an alternative, as the club will have to hire someone as soon as time runs out so they can start the new season with an elite finisher on their squad.
