Chelsea to promote £10 million rated participant resulting from current curiosity from Italy
According to various sources, Chelsea want to benefit from Davide Zappacosta this summer. The full-back is a forgotten player at Stamford Bridge. Mainly because of his missing appearance in the blues jersey. The Italian full-back only created 52 apps for Chelsea during his time at Stamford Bridge.
After joining Chelsea from Italian club Turin in 2017. The full-back got off to a good start for Chelsea, delivering 4 goal contributions in 35 apps in all games. However, the following season was boring for Zappacosta, with only 17 apps all season. Zappacosta then went on a loan deal AS Roma only to find that with very few minutes on the court, the situation has stayed the same.
The full-back is currently back at Stamford Bridge after his loan in Genoa. Zappacosta had a decent season with Genoa last season with 6 goal contributions in 25 apps for them. Hence there was some interest in the player from some Italian clubs.
Inter Milan are considering options to sign a replacement for Achraf Hakimi. The Italian full-back is one of the goals Inter has in mind via Semper Inter. Nerazzurri are also trying to move Hector Bellerin. Chelsea are keen to sell the 29-year-old this summer and value him at £ 10million. If Inter finds the price to be a fair valuation they will surely take a step soon.
Zappacosta – not part of the Chelsea plan

It seems like Davide Zappacosta isn’t part of Chelsea’s plans for the coming season. We saw Thomas Tuchel prioritize Reese James in the right-wing role last season. César Azpilicueta is also doing a great job of providing enough cover for the position when James is not available. Therefore, Tuchel does not see Zappacosta as an important player in his current squad.
Davide Zappacosta is a versatile player who can play on both wings with ease. This will certainly give Tuchel’s squad enough depth. With both Marcos Alonso and Emerson Palmieri also available, the left winger looks safe for the next season.
As a result, Chelsea find that Zappacosta meets their needs and hopes to benefit from them. The Blues want to make some adjustments to their roster this summer. Hence, they plan to raise funds through some player sales.
However, should Chelsea lose either Emerson Palmieri or Marcos Alonso, who hinted at an exit mid-season last season. Chelsea may have to change their minds on Davide Zappacosta. The player also seems to want a ticket to Italy. He was able to secure more minutes of play on loan than as a bench warmer at Stamford Bridge.
Inter are not giving up on Zappacosta

Inter Milan have considered various players to replace Achraf Hakimi. Recent reports suggest Inter Milan are currently chasing Cagliari’s Nahitan Nandez. However, they haven’t given up their chances of signing Davide Zappacosta from Chelsea.
Inter are currently examining the possibility of signing a deal with Nahitan Nandez. Inter has already reached an agreement with the player personally. However, Nerazzurri find the asking price of Cagliari far too high. This can be the A league Masters to step down as they hope to spend just € 15m on a right-back.
If they fail to land Nandez, Davide Zappacosta will be their immediate priority. The Chelsea wing back will meet its price and can adequately protect the flanks. Chelsea also like to collect Zappacosta. So if they can reach an agreement with the Blues, a deal will easily come about.
This will help Chelsea raise more money for their other goals. Thomas Tuchel would like to add some additions to his current squad. Management has given Tuchel the green light to make the necessary commitment after last season’s glory. So we can see some signings from Chelsea in the coming days too.
