English striker determined for Manchester switch this summer time

Former Liverpool Striker is keen to move to Manchester this summer after turning down the Saint’s new offer. The striker has both in his sights Manchester city or Manchester United for a possible transfer.

Manchester City are already looking for a goal-protecting striker. Last season’s Premier League title winner will miss his target in the coming season. Argentine striker Sergio Agüero left the Citizens club after spending years on Premier League teams.

Agüero is now a Barcelona Player who joined the club for free. He will play at Camp Nou with his national team-mate Lionel Messi. But Pep Guardiola will have to find a similar striker to replace Agüero in his position.

However, ex-Barcelona manager and City board member want to bring experienced striker Harry Kane from Spurs. The English striker also wants to leave the club and get silver elsewhere. Though the Spurs board of directors is confident that Kane will stay with them for another season.

Alex Crook from talkSPORT says: “When a large team shows up for him and that didn’t happen. I must emphasize that there has not been a single request. He has Manchester United or Man City in his sights. I’m not sure if any of these clubs will start pounding on the door. ”

While Spurs have also shown interest in signing the striker for the new season. New boss Nuno Espirito Santo wants Ings and Kane to work together up front on White Hart Lane. However, Kane himself is pushing for a move from Tottenham.

With a lucrative offer, the Saints want to hold onto their top goalscorers from last season. Ings has turned down the four-year offer and wants to move away in the summer. It will be interesting to see which club Ings’ signature will secure for the new season.

Saints boss Ralph Hasenhüttl seems confident to convince Ings to stay with his club. However, the player has already made his intentions clear by turning down the long-term deal. The former Liverpool star has been consistent in front of goal for the past two seasons.

Ings scored 34 times in 67 appearances in the last two seasons. It is important that he continue to deliver that performance, but moving with less playing time could be difficult. In addition, Ings has proven in the past that he can prove himself in big clubs like Liverpool.

Ings joined Liverpool from Burnley in the 2015-16 season after scoring good goals. He later moved to the Saints on loan in 2018 and made the move permanent in 2019. Ings scored 22 goals for Southampton in the 2019/20 season. Only time can tell where it will land this summer.
