Manager Carlo Ancelotti wants a new player in the position and the Toffees have added the 21-year-old to their list.
However, Everton will face tough competition in the race for Aarons, with Bayern Munich also keen on their services.
The Bundesliga giants have already started talks with Norwich about his signing, while Manchester United have passed the rule over him a number of times.
The 32-year-old Seamus Coleman has been Everton’s right-back choice this season and has played in 15 Premier League games so far.
Jonjoe Kenny also appeared in four Premier League games before joining Celtic last month. However, Ancelotti would like a new right-back who will improve his current options.
