Harry Kane sends message to Tottenham Hotspur interim supervisor Ryan Mason
Tottenham Hotspur have replaced sacked head coach Jose Mourinho with Ryan Mason and the 29-year-old will take over the team temporarily until the end of the season.
The former Spurs midfielder joined the club’s coaching staff two months after retiring with a broken skull. In July 2019 he was appointed the official academy coach of the U19 UEFA Youth League.
Mason became Tottenham’s Head of Player Development (under 17 to under 23) in August 2020 and will look to prove himself in the next seven games.
The Spurs academy graduate will be in charge of some of his former teammates and he has insisted that his relationship with them be professional for the time being.
Tottenham striker Harry Kane played with his new boss, and he’s checked out on Twitter to respond to his appointment:
After going through the academy together, I know how much it will mean for @RyanMason to take on the team for the rest of the season. We’re going to give him everything we have for these next 7 games. pic.twitter.com/zApulzZMT8
