Jurgen Klopp fumes over contentious penalty incident
Jurgen Klopp is, as you might have expected, angry with the penalty awarded to Everton in their last Liverpool loss to Anfield on Saturday.
Liverpool had lost three games in a row at their home ground after Everton had not won there since 1999. It was perfect for Carlo Ancelotti’s men to take the three points and they rightly did so.
Liverpool fans have a right to feel injured after the game, however, after referee Chris Kavanagh awarded and upheld a highly controversial penalty for a “foul” on Dominic Calvert-Lewin committed by Trent Alexander-Arnold.
Of course, journalists wanted to ask Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp’s opinion on the incident during the post-game press conference, which he wasn’t particularly happy to be questioned.
