Juventus eager about signing Paris Saint-Germain midfielder
Juventus usher in a new era under Massimiliano Allegri. After adventures with Maurizio Sarri and Andrea Pirlo, then back to Allegri, who has proven himself with the Bianconeri. In their attempts to polish up the roster, they now have one PSG Midfielder as a potential target.
Juventus are said to be interested in bringing Leonardo Paredes to the Allianz Stadium. The Argentine was part of the team that won the Copa America that year. The 27-year-old previously played in Serie A with Roma, Empoli and Chievo.
Juventus offer for Paredes
According to Football Italia, the Old Lady will offer the Parisians a loan deal with an option to buy at the end of the loan period. However, it is unclear how much money Juventus will offer PSG to sign permanently.
Turin are looking to sign the former Roma midfielder to replace Arthur Melo. Since joining Juventus Turin, he has been sidelined due to injury. Since February he has been sidelined with a calf injury.
Arthur will now miss the first three months of the new season again. To cover the former Barcelona midfielder, Juve are looking to sign Paredes on loan. Both players are able to play a similar role in midfield.
Will Juventus be able to sign Paredes?
It seems unlikely that PSG will approve this deal. Although they have signed Georginio Wijnaldum from Liverpool on a free transfer, they will still need the Argentine this season. Furthermore, there is no real win for PSG on this deal.
Juventus did not offer a loan plus mandatory purchase offer. They only offered a loan agreement with an option to buy. This would mean Juve won’t sign him if the midfielder doesn’t perform well. So it would be better for the Parisians to keep him in Ligue 1 than to agree to Old Lady’s deal.
Further midfield goals for Juventus
The same report also says Bianconeri is looking to sign Manuel Locatelli from Sassuolo despite the pursuit of PSG midfielder. The Italian impressed at Euro 2020 and now Juve wants to sign him this summer.
Sassuolo demands 40 million euros for the former 23-year-old. Arsenal are also said to be interested in signing the midfielder. According to Fabrizio Romano, Juventus should lead the race for his signing.
Juventus always leads the race for Locatelli – new meeting soon with Sassuolo, Manuel is still pushing to switch to Juve. 🇮🇹
Arsenal stance: they would be willing to pay the price for Sassuolo [€40m]… but #AFC only wants to sign players who are happy and 100% convinced that they will join the club.

The renowned journalist also revealed that the player would like to join the Italian club himself. He also revealed that the Gunners are ready to pay his price, but they only want players who are fully confident about joining the club.
12. Man opinion
This news arouses mixed feelings among the supporters of the Turing giants. You will be glad that the club is involved in some transfer activities. Despite the arrival of Massimiliano Allegri, there was very little transfer news.
However, they still want to be associated with top players. Paredes is a good player but Juve fans would rather have Marco Verratti at the club than the Argentine.
