Kounde is Eager to hitch Chelsea this summer season switch window

Jules Kounde has reportedly turned down an approach from Tottenham Hotspur as he would prefer to play for a “bigger club” like Chelsea.

The Frenchman was part of the Sevilla team that won the Europa League two years ago under Julen Lopategui. Last season they held the second best defensive record in Spain and conceded only 21 goals in 29 games.

This has led to reports in the media that Tottenham are keen to get a transfer deal as they need to improve that line of defense before next season.

But according to Mundo Deportivo, Kounde is not interested in joining Tottenham as there is no Champions League football.

And the report adds that Seville’s highly rated center-back is desperate to leave the Spanish club but for someone who can offer him European action.

The Blues are now front runner to sign the 22-year-old this summer after another impressive season in La Liga, with Thomas Tuchel looking to improve on that line of defense over the next few months.

Kounde also recently hinted at a desire for a new challenge as he continues to grow as a player.

“I’m with a great club,” he said before the last Euro 2020 game in France. “But of course I want to develop into a bigger team.

“We’ll see what the future holds, but there is something on my mind.”

Sum up…

There is no doubt that if Kounde takes the right step in his career, he has the ability to move on and become one of the best defenders in world football. But considering that he could learn from the great Thiago Silva, a move to the bridge would be brilliant for him.

It would cost £ 55 million to buy, but he certainly has the ability to make a difference in the club

So if Chelsea signed a transfer deal for the boy he would be brilliant and it would be a massive loss for Spurs.
