Newcastle followers react to Ryan Fraser show vs Faroe Islands

Newcastle United midfielder Ryan Fraser has had an impressive international break with Scotland and it will be interesting to see if the 27-year-old can establish himself as a regular starter for Steve Bruce and help the Magpies end the season strong now.

Fraser scored a goal in Scotland’s 4-0 win over the Faroe Islands in World Cup qualifying last night and also scored a crucial equalizer for that country against Israel in the final game.

Before moving to Newcastle, Fraser was a good player for Bournemouth but has been a shadow of his former self since joining the Magpies.

Some of the Newcastle fans believe Bruce failed to get the most out of the attacker.

His performances for Scotland certainly show that Fraser has a lot to offer and it remains to be seen whether Newcastle can get the best out of him in the coming weeks.

The Magpies are currently struggling to survive in the Premier League and Bruce has to train his key players and shoot all the cylinders.

The Scottish international could play a key role in the remaining games if he can build on his current performances. A confident and in shape Fraser would add aim and creativity to the attack in Newcastle.

He could forge a fatal partnership with Allan Saint-Maximin, Callum Wilson and Miguel Almiron in the next few weeks.

Here’s what Newcastle fans had to say about the 27-year-old’s performance against the Faroe Islands last night.

BREAKING: Soccer players are much more effective when played in position.

Ah, the simple art of using Fraser in his actual position. Who would have thought? Amazing stuff. Who is this brilliant Scotland manager? Does he want a job here?

We have good players. We know that.

Imagine my shock when you walk in from the wing

Was played with his strengths again.

Dropped for Spurs, then 🤷🏻‍♂️

– Paul (@toonislife) March 31, 2021

Can you ask Bruce to play the guy in his correct position? rather than being a “shared striker” whatever that is supposed to mean.

– James (@ James03292461) March 31, 2021

This is what happens when you play players in the right position and play to their strengths. About you Bruce! But I won’t hold my breath!

See what happens when you play in your actual position. It’s like a winger playing on the wing is getting the best out of him
