Newcastle free to enroll £40m man after Blues make switch resolution
Chelsea are reportedly open to letting Callum Hudson-Odoi go this summer, which would alarm Newcastle United
FC Bayern Munich have been trying to sign the blues academy graduate for two years and made four offers – all of which were turned down, but since then the 20-year-old winger under Thomas Tuchel has been at the end of a long pecking order.
Originally used as a right-back by the Chelsea coach, Hudson-Odoi was quickly overwhelmed, and with the likes of Christian Pulisic, Mason Mount, Kai Havertz, Timo Werner and Hakim Ziyech at the club, Chelsea are in a better position to let Hudson-Odoi go.
He’s also signed to the club until 2024 after signing new terms in 2019 as part of Bayern’s initiation, but The Times reports that the Englishman could finally get his move out of the club this summer.
Bayern are still favorites for a transfer deal but there has been much media speculation that Newcastle may also be making a cheeky offer to try to acquire Hudson-Odoi’s services.
They were also keen on a deal for the man and will have to sign a couple of players to stay away from this relegation battle for the next season
Odoi is certainly a player who could make a real impact at Newcastle should Chelseafc allow him to leave the club, but can we really see Newcastle paying £ 40m for the winger?
But he would be a brilliant addition to the club
