Predicted Aston Villa beginning line-up vs Manchester Metropolis

Aston Villa later host Manchester City in the Premier League and they hope they can recover from their last loss to Liverpool.

Dean Smith’s side have failed to win five of their last six Premier League games and will be under pressure to win here.

Nonetheless, Manchester City are an exceptional team and they will be firm favorites to secure all three points.

Additionally, Pep Guardiola will be demanding a strong reaction from his players after losing 2-1 to Leeds United in their last game.

The visitors have an excellent head-to-head record against Villa and have managed to beat West Midlands Club in their last six games.

The home team has to do without the services of Trezeguet, Jack Grealish and Morgan Sanson due to injury. Brazilian striker Wesley Moraes is still working on his match fitness and is unlikely to be featured here.

This will be a tough challenge for Villa, especially with the creativity of Grealish and Sanson. Plus, Trezeguet appeared to be in good shape lately and will be missed too.

A positive point for Villa will be the fact that Kevin De Bruyne is out injured for Manchester City and Sergio Aguero is out too.

Expected starting line-up for Aston Villa: Martinez, Cash, Konsa, Mings, Targett, Nakamba, Luiz, Traore, McGinn, El Ghazi, Watkins

Smith is likely to make a change to the side that Liverpool defeated. 25-year-old El Ghazi is likely to replace injured Egyptian striker Trezeguet on the starting line-up.
