Predicted Liverpool beginning line-up vs Aston Villa
Liverpool face Aston Villa in the Premier League at Anfield on Saturday.
The Reds enter this game after a disappointing 3-1 loss to Real Madrid in the Champions League quarter-finals.
Jürgen Klopp’s team have won two Premier League games but have to win at Anfield, where they lost six games in a row.
Liverpool are in seventh place in the league, three points behind fourth-placed West Ham. Diogo Jota stressed the importance of winning games all at once and Liverpool should try to get back on winning ways against Villa.
The Reds defense was ubiquitous in Madrid, but the duo of Natt Phillips and Ozan Kabak came out with their heads held high.
In midfield, Klopp is likely to drop Naby Keita, who was substituted for Madrid in the 42nd minute for tactical reasons. The 26-year-old could be dropped off here, with Thiago Alcantara replacing him.
With Jack Grealish injured, it is high time Liverpool come out with all guns and consider attack their best form of defense. Capable of falling deep, Roberto Firmino should give Liverpool an attacking edge over their rivals.
Expected starting line-up for Liverpool against Aston Villa (4-2-3-1): Alisson, Alexander-Arnold, Kabak, Phillips, Robertson, Fabinho, Thiago, Mane, Salah, Jota, Firmino.
In other news, Liverpool have been linked with a move for Stefan De Vrij.
