Premier League Crew of the Week: Bale blasts Blades away
Tottenham forward Gareth Bale put in one of his best performances of the season at the weekend when Spurs beat Sheffield United 4-0.
Bale, 10, received a perfect 10 FC rating for his efforts and did an excellent hat trick to lead our Premier League Team of the Week.
All three of the Welshman’s placements were superb – a skillful touch behind the goalkeeper, a punch to the top right corner and then a drilled attempt from the edge of the box to the bottom right corner.
He was in really devastating shape.
Heung-min Son (8.4) joins his teammate after a crisp foray into the forward line as he scored the fourth part of the game with a spectacular, ruffled hit in the top right corner. He was very unlucky that VAR had also not allowed a goal at the beginning of the game. His setbacks wreaked havoc on the Sheffield Utd defense all night long.
Heading Team of the Week is West Ham’s Michail Antonio (8.9), who scored two goals as the Hammers maintained their Champions League hopes with a 2-1 away win at Burnley. He also had more touches in the opponent’s box (12) than anyone in this round of games.
Kai Havertz (8.8) scored both goals when Chelsea defeated Fulham 2-0 at Stamford Bridge.
In midfield, Fernandinho (8.3) is partner of Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg (8.0).
The Brazilian won 10/15 duels, 4/5 tackles and completed 84/95 passes for Man City.
The much-criticized Serge Aurier (9.8) is another Tottenham player to appear on our Team of the Week when he recorded two assists from right-backs for Spurs against Sheffield Utd.
He had 111 touches and misplaced only four of 86 passes.
Left back is Everton’s Lucas Digne (7.9).
Jonny Evans (8.0) and Lewis Dunk (7.8) are partners in the center of defense.
West Brom have goalkeeper Sam Johnstone (8.7) to thank for the point scored against the Wolves in a staggering nine saves in a 1-1 draw on Monday.
