Rangers followers react to Scott Wright show vs St Johnstone

The Rangers drew 1-1 with St. Johnstone in the Scottish Premier League last night.

New signing Scott Wright managed to score his first goal for Rangers yesterday, but his goal was canceled by Liam Craig deep into stoppage time. The hosts received a penalty in added time and Steven Gerrard will be disappointed with the two lost points.

The 23-year-old striker had a chance to impress against St. Johnstone and managed to seize the opportunity with both hands. Wright signed for Rangers for around £ 150,000 in early February and he could prove to be a massive bargain for the Scottish team if he manages to perform at that level.

He started as a left winger with Kemar Roofe and Cedric Itten who led the line for the Ibrox giants.

The 23-year-old appears to be an exciting talent and Rangers fans will be delighted with what they have seen so far.

Wright is hoping to establish himself as a regular starter for Rangers next season and he will certainly have a good chance of doing so if he continues to perform at that level.

The versatile striker was hands down the best player on the pitch last night and he hopes to build on that performance and end the season strong.

Some of the Rangers fans took to Twitter to share their thoughts on the 23-year-old’s performance last night, and here’s what they had to say.

On the upside, Scott Wright is more of a steal at £ 150,000 every time we see him.

Glad to see Scott Wright score his first goal. His piece deserved it in his last appearances. Very nice finish too. Seems like an excellent acquisition.

Scott Wright is a shining light at this stage of the season … desperate to play, desperate to improve, and desperate to impress. This awareness and balance, coupled with his direct play, is a joy to see. Always on the half curve as communication said tonight ..amazeballs😁😁
