Revered journalist claims Arsenal able to launch bid for Ben White
As the Summer European Championship kicked off, The Athletic’s David Ornstein was busy informing Arsenal fans that their club was preparing for a move for Brighton and Hove Albion defender Ben White.
White, 23, is currently on overseas assignment with Gareth Southgate’s England, but this has not resulted in much domestic speculation about his long-term future.
After joining the Seagulls in 2014 after advancing the club’s youth and with the help of a successful loan from Leeds United, White has become one of the top-rated center-backs in the Premier League.
After an excellent one-off campaign in the last 2020-21 season, White has now turned out to be the summer transfer target for Mikel Artetas Gunners.
