Romelu Lukaku guidelines out Chelsea switch from Inter Milan
Chelsea had a great season after winning the Champions League, but it still feels like they need a real goalscorer if they are to fight for the Premier League again.
Timo Werner tries so hard and he’s one of those players you want to do well, but his productive streak has let him down completely and someone new is needed.
A big number 9 is expected by fans so the ties with Erling Haaland and Romelu Lukaku are promising but now it looks like neither will happen.

Haaland’s situation is made more difficult by the fact that there is no release clause this season and there are no signs that Dortmund actually want to sell.
It looked like this would be a good time for him to leave Inter amid the upheaval, but the latest reports and comments suggest the move to Chelsea won’t happen:
Romelu Lukaku confirms that he won’t be leaving this summer: “I’m staying with Inter. I was already in contact with the new manager Inzaghi. Maybe I shouldn’t be saying this yet … but it was a very positive conversation. I feel good at Inter, ”he told VTM. @hlninengeland ??? #cfc #mcfc #inter

It’s a big blow to Chelsea as there aren’t many top-class, tried and true strikers and Sergio Agüero has already signed for Barcelona.
