Thiago Silva reaches verbal settlement to increase Chelsea deal
Chelsea center-back Thiago Silva has reached an oral agreement to extend his contract, according to Fabrizio Romano.
Silva was signed by Chelsea in the summer transfer window after Brazil’s contract with Paris Saint-Germain expired.
The Blues knew they were signing one of the best defenders of his generation, but it remained to be seen how much he had left in the tank.

Silva is in her mid thirties, which is usually the time a center-back sees his career draw to a close.
Rio Ferdinand retired at the age that Silva is currently.
However, the former AC Milan and PSG star is showing no signs of stopping. In fact, he appears to be staying at Chelsea for at least another season.
Fabrizio Romano reported on Twitter that an oral agreement had been reached to extend his contract.
