Thomas has urged Arsenal to wrap up switch deal for Sanches

Former midfielder Michael Thomas said Arsenal should sign Renato Sanches.

Now we’ve talked several times about the reports that Mikel Arteta is looking to deal with this transfer kitty and add a few players to the roster to get them back on the road to winning

And that has led to many reports in the media that the Gunners boss is supported in the transfer window

Sanches is reportedly keen to return to the Premier League to prove his worth after suffering a poor loan period at Swansea in 2017/18, where he only played 12 Premier League games

The former Bayern Munich and Swansea midfielder has revived his career in recent seasons and helped Lille snatch PSG’s Ligue 1 title last year, according to reports, he prepared an offer for the 23-year-old.

Now, amid the speculation, Thomas has opened up and urged the Gunners to take a step for the talented young man. He tweeted: “I thought Renato Sanches was excellent for Portugal. He brings real energy and breaks the lines with his routes.

“Having him eighth on the Arsenal team would be a great balance but I am aware of his injury record.”

Sum up…

You see, Sanches has real qualities just sitting there waiting for his potential new manager to come out of him, and Arteta could do that.

The Gunners boss needs a player like the Portuguese international in the squad. If the reports are correct and United are interested in a transfer deal for the young man, he could be a very good commitment for the club to sign for months over the next few years.

Even if Sanches has not yet reached his true potential, there is no doubt about his ability and he just needs the right manager to help him achieve it
