West Ham Adam Armstrong switch trace
West Ham legend Tony Cottee seems confident the club will sign a transfer deal for Blackburn Rovers forward Adam Armstrong this summer.
The 24-year-old has been in good shape in the championship this season and is expected to attract a growing number of Premier League clubs.
West Ham and Newcastle United were perhaps the most closely linked to Armstrong and Cottee now seems to believe the Hammers connection could be real.
After speaking with David Moyes, Cottee gave a strong lead on a possible offer to bring Armstrong to the London stadium.

“His signings are remarkable and he has to find a way to sign Jesse Lingard, who was remarkable, while I wholeheartedly anticipate a move for Blackburn’s Adam Armstrong who is a 5-foot-8-inch front man along with a taller, is more physical type, “said Cottee.
“I know he (Moyes) understands everything (about West Ham) because when I and other former players go to the training ground he gives us a warm welcome because he knows what we mean to the fans.”
