What’s the Premier League desk this season?
Manchester City only need three more wins to regain the Premier League title after beating Aston Villa 2-1 on Wednesday.
Pep Guardiola’s squad wanted to provide an answer on their FA Cup exit over the weekend but had a nightmare when John met McGinn in just 20 seconds.
And although they quickly turned things around, with Phil Foden and Rodri both backing Bernardo Silva 2-1, City John Stones lost to a red card before the break because of an awkward challenge against Jacob Ramsey.
Luckily for the championship leaders, Matty Cash saw a second yellow to offset the numbers before the hour so they could more easily get to victory.
With a win, City are 11 points ahead of second-placed Manchester United and only need eight points to secure the title.
On Wednesday before, Tottenham had made the fight for the top 4 place even more exciting with a 2-1 win over Southampton.
Like City, they were forced to come from behind and Danny Ings’ header in the first half had given Saints the lead they deserved.
A well-hit goal from Gareth Bale and the penalty from Heung-min Son turned things around for Spurs, however, moving them within two points from fourth place.
